| Job Details*: | Product Manager – Labware is responsible for the management of specific product lines within the Avantor Performance Materials brand(s), which includes manufactured and/or buy/resale items. The incumbent has full accountability for local implementation of marketing strategies within his or her region. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Provide routine product management activities for products: - Provide product maintenance and sales support - Manage product change communications to internal functions through the Management of Change (MOC) process - Manage and execute the launch of new products - Develop promotional materials for sales support - Support sales team on product training activities • Maintain close relationships with customers and field sales representatives to keep abreast of emerging market trends and opportunities. • Work closely with sales teams to ensure that new products requirements are market driven, meet specific customer requirements, and are brought to market on time. • Develop and maintain demand forecast for product line(s). • Maintain regular interaction with all functional groups to improve product quality, identify cost reduction and consolidation opportunities, and ensure forecast accuracy and other business initiatives. • Work closely with manufacturing, tollers and franchisees to ensure product supply, quality and cost position. • Participate in and lead marketing department projects. • Works collaboratively across the organization. • Provide costing of all products to marketing at thetime of new PPL launch in market. • Price, availability, Positioning, technical support, forecasting and quality complaint for Labware |
